Jeremy Tennenbaum - Chairman
Jeremy is Chairman of Spouting Rock Consulting and heads the investment committee. Prior to Spouting Rock, Jeremy was Managing Partner of JT Advisors, an investment consulting firm that performed manager due diligence and selection for large family offices, RIAs, and non-profits. From 2005 to 2009, Jeremy was Chief Investment Officer of Arlon Group, the investment arm of Continental Grain, and head of Arlon Asset Management, where he was responsible for investing multiple hundreds of millions of dollars. Jeremy created the firm's asset allocation strategy and oversaw manager selection, trading, and direct investments. In addition to serving as Arlon's CIO, Jeremy had operational responsibilities including reporting, custodian reviews, and creation of annual budgets and P&L forecasts. Prior to Arlon, Jeremy served as Executive Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Planning for Seagate Technology from 2000 to 2004. Jeremy's roles included corporate development, venture capital, new business initiatives, and strategic planning. Before Seagate, Jeremy was Vice President at Wellington Management Company for a decade. Jeremy was a senior analyst covering the global automotive, capital goods, multi-industry and imaging sectors and managed over $1 billion in research portfolios. While at Wellington, Jeremy was twice named to Institutional Investor magazine's "Best of the Buy Side" list -- in 1998 and 2000 -- and from 1997 to 2000 was chosen by Reuters as a top ten analyst/portfolio manager in three categories: large U.S., medium/small U.S., and large international companies. Jeremy started his career in financial services with Salomon Brothers in New York. During the latter part of his tenure he was a new business specialist for the M&A division, helping win assignments from Boeing, Control Data, Seagate, and a number of other firms. Jeremy also wrote two master "pitch books" on the coming consolidations of the aerospace and automotive parts sectors that generated over $15MM in fees. Prior to this, he was a sell-side analyst following defense electronics, diversified companies computer services and software stocks. Jeremy is a senior fellow of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, serves on the investment committee for Main Line Health, and organizes conferences for the CFA Society of Philadelphia. Jeremy is a shareholder and director of Saber Partners, LLC, a boutique investment bank that advises public utility commissions on their involvement with capital markets. Jeremy received his BA from Princeton University and a MS in finance from MIT's Sloan School management.
Erich M. Hickey, CFA Chief Investment Officer
Erich is a co-founder of Spouting Rock Consulting. Prior to Spouting Rock, Erich was the Director of Investments for a Philadelphia area family office. As Director, Erich oversaw approximately $250MM of assets invested in hedge funds, fixed income, equities and commodities. The investment group also handled and consulted with the family on business valuations, financing, hedging, and other activities. Erich was the lead Portfolio Manager of the family�s fund of funds and was responsible for all qualitative aspects of due diligence and manager selection. Erich was also the lead portfolio manager for the fixed income portfolios invested primarily in MBS and MBS derivatives. Previously, Erich served as a Portfolio Manager and Trader at Glenmede Investment Management, L.P. in the Institutional Fixed Income Division. Erich received his BS from Davidson College. Erich is a CFA charterhlder, and a member of the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia.
Thomas J. Quinn, CFA Director of Research
Thomas is Director of Research for Spouting Rock Consulting. Prior to Spouting Rock, Thomas was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Risk Officer at a Philadelphia area family office. As a risk manager, Thomas developed proprietary quantitative models which he used to manage the firm's equity portfolios. Thomas also performed all quantitative diligence on the family's fund of funds, which included tracking true economic exposures and correlations for various alternative strategies. Previously, Thomas served as a high-net-worth Portfolio Manager, Investment Officer, and Analyst at the Glenmede Trust Company. As Analyst, Thomas was responsible for constructing Glenmede's quantitative investment selection models and various portfolio management tools. Thomas received his BA from Ursinus College and a MA in Economics from Temple University. Thomas is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia.
Blakely C. Page Managing Partner
Blakely is a Managing Partner in Spouting Rock Financial, LLC. Blakely began his career at Morgan Stanley in their Private Wealth Management effort, where he worked closely with high net worth families both to understand their financial needs and provide attractive products and services. Blakely then joined Morgan Stanley's Institutional Equities team, offering equity research and capital markets generated products to top tier institutional clients in New York and Connecticut. Following three years at Morgan Stanley, Blakely joined Thomas Weisel Partners (TWP) covering hedge funds in New York and Connecticut, as well as institutional investment firms in Atlanta, Georgia. After three years at TWP, Blakely joined Susquehanna Financial to help build their Institutional Brokerage platform. At Susquehanna, Blakely sold Derivative Strategies, Quantitative Trading Execution Software and Equity Research products to institutional investors. In 2006, Blakely went to Banc of America Securities as a Principal and launched a middle markets effort in the Mid Atlantic. Blakely received his BA from Southern Methodist University.
